Hollywood, CA; 15, June 2015: Breaking into the film and editing world can be a steep uphill battle, but Director and Editor Ni Fan
has reached the pinnacle. Her most recent projects showcase her
experience, story telling skills and outstanding achievements in
filmmaking.
Ni Fan got her impressive start in film production at an early age in Northeast China. The city, almost constantly covered by snow, was fertile ground for Ni’s dark imagination and appreciation of ambiguity. She expressed this perspective in her artistry and, by the time she graduated from film school, two up-and-coming rappers Chief Keef and Kid Red took notice. Kid Red asked the director to produce his next music video. Chief Keef offered Fan the job of editing his future album promos. Fan agreed and played an integral role in helping get each artist to attract top-level airtime and exposure.
"In each of these music videos, I served as the key editor," Fan said. "I took real pride in the editing portion of the video work, and the artists were very pleased with the final outcome of the project." Since then, both musicians have new releases in the works, and have expressed plans to continue working with Fan in her capacities as director and editor.
Fan also knows how to relate to a specialized niche, and has an expertise in promoting the lucrative world of pay-per-view events with her commercials and trailers. Fan played a leading role in the editing promotions for some of America’s most popular PPV programs including:
"Ether Battle Rap Event"
This live Pay-Per-View rap battle competition spotlighted new rap artists from all over the U.S. who threw down rhymes at The Los Angeles Belasco Theater in an Internationally broadcast rap battle. Ni Fan was instrumental in the oversight and creation of the nine sizzling commercials that launched tickets sales to the popular event, as well as providing a GFX (computer graphics effects) package for the live event. Featured were two nationally recognized rappers Cassidy and Dizaster, and the event proved to be a major step forward in helping new rap artists reach a larger and broader audience.
"Mega Fight Weekend--Behind The Light"
None other than Nicki Minaj, Sevyn Streeter and Jeremih were present at Ni Fan’s second promotional Pay-Per-View event. This after-party concert, held at the Paris Hotel Chateau and Night Club in Las Vegas, was promoted by Ni Fan’s electrifying commercials and promos. Again, Fan was the editor for the event and created multiple adverts and GFX packages that led to significant revenues.
Both successful events drew impressive viewership and sales, boosting many exciting young rap artists to new heights. Ni Fan’s work as a successful editor and director will likely expand her followers as audiences look forward to seeing her editing abilities and directing skills in new and varied genres.
